This is a traditional English garden designed around a new house (about three years old). The house was built to a traditional 'Georgian' design.
There were some awkward ground levels together with some existing trees and I used a natiural local stone (Luxylian Quarry) to create small retaining walls to 'terrace' the sloping areas to make the areas suitable for planting.
The stone walls were laid 'dry' and they were positioned so that they 'weaved' between the existing trees.
The project included extensive re-paving together with a timber Pergola to connect the house to the garden.
The construction was carried out by Mid Cornwall Landscaping.

The photographs were taken before re-planting of the garden (Setember 2002)
